Not done anything on Ethereum for months, possibly over a year now. Has the PoS fork helped bring down gas costs at all?

The Ethereum PoS fork has definitely had a positive impact on gas costs, though it is hard to say if it is the sole cause. Gas fees have become much more affordable, with fees often dropping to 10 to 20 Gwei, which is significantly lower than what was seen during the bull run. Ethereum itself has also become cheaper, making transactions more affordable than ever before. However, while the fees have come down, they are still relatively expensive, making it difficult to use Ethereum for smaller transactions.

Well fees are cheaper because eth network is not as congested as in bull run, and eth by itself is cheaper as well. Still relatively expensive tho :(

Cannot say specifically if it was the fork, but it's been 10 to 20 fairly often lately
