I just mean shutting down the front end / banning crypto similar to what they did with online poker heard ago. I know they can’t affect smart contracts.

The question is referring to a potential government ban on crypto exchanges, similar to the online poker ban that occurred in the past. The existing answers suggest using a decentralized exchange, such as Paraswap or 1inch, as a way to access crypto funds without relying on a centralized exchange. Furthermore, accessing funds directly through a contract is another option, although it is not ideal. Overall, the best way to ensure access to crypto funds is to use a decentralized exchange, as this will allow users to access their funds without relying on a centralized exchange. This is the safest option, as governments cannot shut down decentralized exchanges, as they are not hosted on a single server. Additionally, accessing funds directly through a contract is another option, although it is not as secure as using a decentralized exchange.

Yeash someone else could host a front end or as michael said, accessing your funds directly through contract. Not ideal of course, but you'll truly always have access to your funds as long as you have internet, and your seed phrase
