CEX is not allowed to lend money out like a bank does because they are not a bank and do not have the same regulatory authority and responsibilities as a bank. CEX is a cryptocurrency exchange, and as such, it is not authorized to provide banking services and is not subject to the same regulations as a bank. CEX does not have the same access to capital or the same ability to provide loans as a bank does. Furthermore, CEX is not insured by the FDIC, which means that customers’ funds are not protected by the same level of security that banks provide. Therefore, CEX does not lend money out like a bank does.
