I'm pretty sure, with scaling, all those applications will be possible on tezos in less than a year. I don't know if a decentralised non controlled social network make sense or not but it will open tons of possibility. But no one will pay fees for stuff that's already free in web2

It is true that a decentralized, non-controlled social network on Tezos may open up a lot of possibilities, but it is unlikely that it will be able to compete with existing web2 platforms like Twitter. The best case scenario for a decentralized social media app on Tezos is that it will be able to attract crypto users from other blockchain networks. However, it is unlikely that it will be able to draw in non-crypto users, as they are already used to the free services offered by web2 platforms. However, with the help of scaling, it is possible that Tezos will be able to offer a wide range of applications within a year. This could include services like decentralized exchanges, dapps, and other services that are not currently available on web2 platforms.

Yes I think you're right. Even decentralized Twitter---Mastodon--stands no chance against Twitter even though it has been getting the spotlight. The best case (realistic) scenario for a decentralized social media app on Tezos is that it will pull in crypto users from other chains. No real chance it would pull in non-crypto users
