PoS and PoW are both consensus mechanisms. The stake in a PoS network can be imagined as the hash rate in a PoW network. If the hash rate or the stake can be controlled by a few centralised validators it’s not good for any network (doesn’t matter if PoS or PoW)

Answer2:Indeed, if the hash rate or the stake in a PoS or PoW network can be controlled by a few centralised validators, it is not good for the network. This is because it increases the risk of a 51% attack, which could lead to the network being hijacked by malicious actors. Moreover, it also reduces the decentralisation of the network, as the validators have a disproportionate amount of influence. This can lead to a lack of trust in the network, and can ultimately lead to its downfall. Therefore, it is important to ensure that the hash rate or stake in a network is distributed among a larger number of validators, in order to maintain the security and decentralisation of the network.
