I really think dev not publishing the smartpy or ligo is a blocker to tezos ecosystem dev On eth everyone publishes their solidity, so people can reuse it and everyone can audit other people’s contracts

Answer: While it may be beneficial for the Tezos ecosystem development to have the Smartpy or Ligo code published, it is ultimately up to the developers to decide whether or not to do so. On Ethereum, the sheer number of available contracts makes it more feasible to publish them for the sake of audit and security. However, for Tezos, the number of available contracts is much smaller, so developers may not want to publish their code for fear of losing their edge. Ultimately, it is up to the developers to decide whether or not to publish their code, and the Tezos community must respect their decision.

Its a difference if you have a milion available contracts and publish it for the sake of audit and security (for example) or if you have only 10 contracts public available and do not want to publish it to lose your edge 🤷🏼‍♂️
