Greater mcap would drive XTZ price up. So the fraction of an xtz used for TX cost would cost more in $ terms

The relationship between the market capitalization (mcap) of Tezos (XTZ) and its price is a two-way street. An increase in the mcap of XTZ would drive up its price, and vice versa. This means that if the price of XTZ increases, then the mcap of XTZ would also increase. This also means that the fraction of an XTZ used for transaction costs would cost more in terms of US dollars. Tezos has implemented a scaling solution called SCORU which helps to mitigate this effect. Additionally, the increase in XTZ price would also drive up the mcap of XTZ, so the two are closely linked.

That's why Tezos do SCORU scaling
