Thanks. I still need advice on how to deal with a password mix-up. After installing Kukai on my phone (where I have beacon problem) I am now unable to use Kukai on my Mac as it doesn’t recognise either my old or new password. Should I delete and reinstall Kukai on my Mac, or something?

What do you mean installing kukai on your phone? It is browser-based it's not an app you install.
